We don’t mind working round the clock a Day instead of pushing the timeline as agreed. The working day at RVLK & ASSOCIATES is over 12 hours! It is not unusual for us to turn around any critical issues within 24 hours.
1. Client Management Approach
•At this juncture, partners and managers should constantly familiarize themselves on the relevant developments and proactively reach out to clients to update them and advise on necessary actions to be taken considering the amendments to law, regulatory changes and relaxations granted or facilities extended by Government/Banks. For instance, Banks have offered moratorium for EMIs to borrowers and the client may be advised to leverage upon such a facility. Further, please use this opportunity to strengthen and deepen your relationship with clients and reassure that you are here to support them.
• As statutory filings and compliance related timelines have been extended, most of the clients may not pay much attention to these matters. But it would be prudent for us to follow-up and collect the relevant data & information and get them processed so that these are kept ready for filing at the appropriate time.
• Please identify the challenges faced or likely to be encountered by the clients on account of current crisis and do explore offering customized services by reviewing their financials and sector specific implications and suggest revival plans including sourcing of capital / funds (many Banks have come up with Covid-19 loan schemes for existing customers), modification of business model to generate alternative sources of income, cost optimization measures, cash flow and working capital management, technology adoption to minimize disruption and improve efficiency. Please impress upon them that these are specialized services and mutually agree on a onetime professional fee before commencement of execution of such service to avoid surprises later.
• If there are pending invoices due from the clients, please follow up with a persuasive approach and make gentle reminders reiterating the need to honor their commitment which in turn would enable us to honor our commitments. You might also receive requests from clients for reduction on the engagement fee relating to current or future services. Please discuss the same with a co-operative attitude and supportive spirit to minimize the percentage of reduction. In the current scenario, it is not advisable to be rigid on such issues and hence please handle with diplomacy.
